about

I fully expected to make a lot of Museumgoer music during the 2020 Covid quarantine, but nothing came until I could move my equipment back in the studio. These songs came in a rush, birthed fully grown in the womb of my practice space.

Bowling Alley on the Moon (Nixon's Dream) - Text: "In 1972, President Richard Nixon signed off on NASA funding to build a bowling alley on the moon. It was his belief that wholesome activities would inspire American greatness in space." An idle daydream about a timeline where terrible men of power have terrible but charming ideas. This is definitely the most "Spongebob" Museumgoer song to date.

Cleanup on Aisle Infinity - I've been practicing jazz progressions and wanted to write something beautiful and classy. I like how the Theremin sounds like an 80's saxophone.

The Girl with the BÖC Earring - Wolfish memory of a real girl in 6th grade who wore earrings shaped like the Blue Öyster Cult symbol. So cool...

Waltz of the Orphic Dawn - I once picked up and played a friend's balalaika (three-stringed Russian guitar) and told him we should form a marching band called the Tattoo of the Orphic Dawn. Drinks were involved. He may still have the balalaika, but has since kept it out of my sight.
